HOLA, HOLA, HOLA! It´s finally me again, hna Payne!
I know yall have been anxious to hear from me! Dad, I can hear the aggitation in your voice as you talk about the mission not sending you a letter the second i landed. did you finally get one?
Oh man, I have no idea where to even start this letter! I guess first of all, Im here!!!!! Wow, i never would have thought i would actually get here. Now that im here... ahh totally overwhelming! It took me 3 days to actually get here. i left provo tuesdsay, got to argentina wednesdsay, went to my first area on thursdsay, and started my official first full day of being a missionary on friday. im not too sure what to think! ha! well my comp is from chile and speanks quite a bit of english, thank goodness! she is really nice and really patient! Again, thank goodness! Oh, her name is Hna Marilaf.
So the language ?? HA soooooo hard! I feel like an idiot all the time. And pretty much dont understand anything. im way more of a tag along than help! Boo! I know, to be expected but frustrating! I need the language NOW. I think im understanding a little more everyday.. which is not a lot, but still..
Im in a little place, when i say little i really have no idea how little it is. but im in Posadas. i think there are like 3 areas with missionaries here. so i guess it would be my area that is small, not Posadas. I dont really know how to explain it here except that everything is sooooooooooo dirty. Ha go ahead and laugh, yes, im being humbled, and fast! I LOVE America! It is soo clean! My residence is small.. and gross. Apparently it was WAY worse before my comp was there.. she cleaned it a lot. it still needs some work though.
The mornings and nights here are pretty chilly. It reminds me a lot of Texas Yamboree time. Which is kind of annoying because i need a jacket to start and end with but then have to carry it around the rest of the day. I need to buy some gloves! Im still not sure how the whole money thing works with my card.. Eh, I hate not speaking spanish!! I feel for the people that come to America and dont speak english! So the whole cold shower thing.. I took one and it was the worst thing of my life! I take back the whole i can handle it thing. I dont want to experience that again =) i was about to swear off showers all together! But then my comp said that we did have hot water. i think she took it all... that or im too retarded to make the hot water work... either is likely. The shower is quite gross! I will try and send pics of my humble abode in the next week or two.
Okay, so the food! We have eaten lunch with members everyday that i have been here. Noodles, noodles, and more noodels. There has been hair in my food like every meal, and yes i still had to eat it. Dad and Kelsie, you would have died. I about did, but after gagging a couple of times I continued to eat! Eh soooooo gross! But hey, i think that the Lord is preparing me for worse food. My comp said some of the gross things that missionaries have to eat. Im sure at some point i will be begging for the noodles with hair, just so i dont have to eat cow eyeballs! Let the fun begin =) We dont really have dinner. And for breakfast I have had cereal. The milk is weird.. it comes in a box and doesnt have to be in the fridge.
Hna Jones!! I totally understand your last experience for church!! So I thought that church was going to be a breath of fresh air! HA I was wrong. It would have possibly have been if I got to actually attend... President recently made 2 new commandments in the mission. 1. Missionaries cannot attend church if they dont have any investigators. 2. No missionary is allowed to quit going to church. Ya, first Sunday, and im a failure. We had like 10 people that said they would come.... but they lie! Not a one came! So we went to this lady´s house.. if you call it that.. and clapped, instead of knocking.. its what you do here. No one would come to the door! So then we went to another house to get a married couple. The wife wanted to come but the husband didnt.. so neither of them came. Then we had a phone call of a family of 5. All were ready but then the dad didnt want to come. so we then went on the bus to the church to see if anyone else might have showed up. we missed the sacrament! We were there long enough for me to bear my testimony in my broken spanish.. im pretty sure i bring a whole new meaning to caveman spanish... and then left to go find someone to go to church with us. we ran around going from house to house. and not one of our investigators wanted to come. Eh why do they hate me? Everyone is sooo flaky here.. they always say they will do something like they will come to church, or that we can come back and teach them but they dont really mean it! I just wish they would be honest and not waste our time. So then where is the line of being bold? Not that I have the language to be bold.. but there is such a fine line! Im pretty sure we need to be talkin to more people... but again, i dont have words to do that! eh.. failure! I know, to be expected =) Oh and then we went back to the church to take the sacrament of the next ward.. or branch??? and missed that too. We WILL have investigators next week! We will have to be like Hna Jones and leave the house at 6-30 to get them there.. but we WILL get them there. It is kind of a weird rule to not be able to go to church.. but i guess is makes sense. if the investigators arent at church they cant get baptized. and its not about me here, its about the people!
Lori Darlin!!!thanks for your email!! It soudns like you are doing well. Thank you soo much for that scripture. I liked your insite about becoming one of the people. Im definitely not there yet. But I hope to get there!! P.s. you will be in my prayers! Ha I can just hear you telling me that you are becoming more bitter by the day! =)
Kelsie! Im sorry but I cant look at your blog )= Will you please forward this email to that one add that i sent you
Mom! Thank you sooo much for standing in line at Chelsees wedding. i can just imagine you crying as you talked to her wishing that i were there =) I loved the pics. Is Dust going to send me some? Thats cool that you got to meet his fam!
Well that is about all that I can think of for now! I love and miss you all! Untill next week =) hopefully i will have better news to tell you about our investigators!!

***Sent Wednesday July 28th***
Hermana Payne leaves the MTC tomorrow, August 3rd for Argentina!
HOLA!!! It's me again, Hna Payne!
Yes, I'm still sitting here in the good ol' MTC. Time continues to tick by..... but guess what?!?!?!? I GOT MY VISA TODAY!!!!!!!!!! YYYYYAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY! I'm the happiest person ever! Except now that I have it, I dont want to go! Im cofortable in the MTC. I dont know that I can really become the missionary that I expect, or even more, what the Lord expects! Ah!!! So much to do, so much to learn! I know that I can do anything with the Lord's help, I know that! Anyways, I dont have travel plans yet, but they think that it will be next weeek that I leave. Argentina, here I come!
So as of late... ya, I still dont really have a lot so say... sorry. But hey look at the bright side, the next time I email home will have all sorts of adventure... well at least more so then here.
I looked for ALI today, when I say looked, I should use the word stalked her.. but to no avail. I still havent seen her, but I have been lookin hard for her. We will for sure and get a pic this week.
So Lake Powell tomorrow? That is soooo cool. So yall werent supposed to go yet? And yall were going to go with Skip? That is really cool that Kels is coming. Take lots of pics! And give my baby hugs and kisses!
Mom, does that mean that you will get to go to Denver for B's bday?
Derek leaves this monday. Maybe we will be on the same flight! That would be way cool!
We had an amazing devo last night! It was someone from the seventy. He talked about the converts and what needed to happen for them... and since it was needed for them, we as well had to incorporate it into our lives. Ya, I know you got nothing from that... I just wish you could be here to hear and feel all the same things!
We went to the temple last week for service! We put together chandeliers! They are sooo beautiful! Anything beats cleaning lockers with toothpicks and qtips! The Lord blessedd me there. Fun fact: The Prove Temple has more then 3000 lockers. Wow! Who knew?
Well, sorry that my letter is all over the place... more so than usual! But have sooooooooo much fun with my baby at Lake Powell! Please be safe! Im saying this right now! I will have NO calls from any of you while i am gone!!! UNDERSTAND? Levi? That goes for you too, especially you! I love yalll all soo much! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you do!
Love Hna Payne
Peace out P-town! Argentina, here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hola! Its me again! Hermana Payne!
So life started quite early today... what am I talkin about??? It starts early everyday! But today we started laundry as soon as we got up, along with emails in the laundry room. We (my new district) are cleaning the temple today. Yay, again. Okay its not my most favorite job in the whole wide world. The last time I was there we were cleaning lockers with tooth picks and qtips. Hopefully it will be a different job this time :) But that takes quiet a long time so no one will probably be getting a letter from me... sorry :(
So Im getting to the point where I dont really like writing emails anymore.. I have always hated writing letters... too much to write and not enough time to do it. But the whole email thing.. well, I dont feel like I have anything new to say. So sorry when this is again a really lame email. I cant wait to get into the field and have tons of new things to say. Speaking of the field, the Elder that got delayed with me went and asked how much longer. They say its still processing, that it is somewhere and needs to be signed or something. The guy said they think that it shouldnt be more than a week at most. Who knows what that really means tho... leave in a week or maybe have the visa in a week?? Well Im ready to get out of here. Im getting sooooo tired of it here. Im still happy and positive, but I just really want to get to Argentina! I got an email from Hna Jones. She is is Buenos Aries, she said it is pretty chilly and she has been in a tropical strom minus the warmness. Her least favorite time is shower time.. no heat in the bathroom and not even close to luke warm water. Ehhhhh! And she is in the city.... That means I definitely wont have warm water. Okay, well I kind of expected that, but I was wishing for a little bit of a different outcome! But hey, lets be honest, this is the ONLY time in my life where I will get to experice all of these things. I want to see it all and do it all. I want all the experiences of living in Argentina. I say that now where I have nice showers, good food, laundry, spiders not the size of my face, electricity, no rodent problmes... ya, at this point, one of my themes is to find joy in the journey!!! Yay! However, I'm pretty sure that ya'll may have to remind me that first week that Im there, and all the other times that I sleep with creatures, or there are mice in our kitchen.. or whatever else is in store for me :)
My new companions are great. Hna Jardine and Hna Werner. Both of them are from Utah. One is going to the new mission in New Mexico, and the other to California. They have two weeks left. All I can say is that I better not have new companions here because that will mean that I will be here more than two weeks! Im pretty sure I will cut someone if that is the case. Just kidding! But that is a long time! However, I do know that no matter what, the Lord's hand is in all things. I know that he is preparing me more, possibly my comp, and of course the people of Argentina. I will get there exactly when He wants me to get there. (I just hope that is sooner rather than later)! My comps are glad I'm in their trio though.. which I guesss they kind of have to say that. but hey im taking that compliment and running with it. Both Hnas are very different and they have both said at different times that I balance them out well, and that it has been nice! Its been kind of weird though because I dont really feel a part of their companionshiop.. Not because of anything that they are doing, I just feel like a temp waiting for my visa! :) It will come!
Mom, do you know where my scripture case is? The polka dot one? Please send that if you know where its at. Once upon a time it was under my window. Why were you doing my tech stuff already?
Kels, I got the pictures of my baby! Thank you! She is absolutely a doll! I miss her lots! And everyone else of course!
Karan, I got your letter, THANK YOU!!! I will get a letter out as soon as possible!
I got Chelsee's wedding announcement too! I love it! Im way excited for her. Mom, you said you may be in Denver for her day, well I hope to be in Argentina for her day! :)
Well I cant really think of anything else. Time is about up for me. Hopefully I will have more to say soon :) I hope everything is going well for yall! I love yall and miss yall lots!

Hola! Its me again, Hna Payne!
Yes, I am sitting here in the MTC... still! I thought I would be in Argentina right now :( Oh well, life is of course still good :) I got a forward from Hna Jones saying she got to Argentina. I can't wait until yall get that email.. besides I will hopefully have more to tell yall. I dont have much to say at all this week. Sorry. Well, my district, and my companions are gone. So now I'm in a new district, and yup, another trio! I loved my old comps, and I love my news ones, but I cant wait to be in a normal companionship! I guess I should be careful what I wish for.. I will get to Argentina and get one, ya, one that is native and cant speak english :) Sink or swim! I choose to swim! I still dont know anything about when I will be leaving. They called me to the travel office 2 days ago just to sign a paper. I asked the lady what it meant and all she had to say was "I dont know." Are you serious??? So not helpful an any way. I realize that they probably deal with 2000 missionaries a week.. but come on have some compassion. I mean my district left me that day, and I was supposed to have left that day! But no.. they treat all 2000 missionaries as ONE and not as individuals. Not complaing, just stating the obvious :)
So Elder Oaks was here again! He walked into our Sunday devo and sat on the front row in the crowd. We thought that was kind of weird. His daughter was the one that was speaking to us, or should I say playing. Jenny Oaks Baker, she is like a world known violynist. She talked about some experiences that she had and then played a song relating to them. Holy cow, she was soooo good! It is amazing the Spirit that comes from music. You could see in her face that all of these songs really were her testimony. Mom, I thought of you. You would have loved all the songs! We also watched Music and the Spoken word on Sunday, always causing me to think of you! Oh, and when we eat sausage gravy. It's gross here fyi. I hope you are continuing the tradition of Fast Sunday Breakfast where you think of me :)
I got a wedding announcement from Dani! I was so surprised to get one. Honestly I thought it was Chelsee's. It made my day to see it. Dani, if you read this, thank you! You look absolutely beautiful, and yall look soo happy. I'm soo excited for you both! Love ya!
Hillary! You will be getting a letter shortly! I laughed so hard when I saw that your fist letter dated back to May! When I asked Dusty to send you a shout out, I told him to tell you to actually send the letter that I knew you had already written!!! Sad taht I called that one! HA I still love you though. Im callin you to repentance tho! Be a better friend and actually send them!! :)
Well it sounds like yall had fun at Lake Powell! Did kels and Levi go? I thought they had. But I didnt really hear anything from them about it. Please tell me we are invited in 2 years :)
Mom, thanks for the travel package! I was thinking that I wanted that pillow. Im glad to have it. Thanks for everything else, its perfect. Oh by the way I have stuff to come home eventually. My president lives in Highland. I asked his wife about it and she said that yall could come and get it from their house or somthing. I will talk to you more about it.
Mom, if you havent sent me the bag, DONT! The girl left for Hong Kong.. But if you did Im sure i can find somenoe that wants it, or just send it back to you.
Well thats all i have time for today. I love yall and miss yall. Thanks for all yall do for me. I hope to be talkin to you soon :)
Love Hna Payne

Hola! It's me again, Hermana Payne!
So, guess what!? I'm sitting here in good ol' Resistencia Argentina! WEIRD!!
Can you believe it??? Okay so Im totally just kidding. I thought I told you
that I was leaving on the 12th?? Well it doest matter.. its not even the
12th anymore. I have been delayed :( Two of the elders got their visas.. and
not me! I will be traveling all the way to Argentia by myself. Scary. I hope
I make it to the mission home by myself. You know how well I am with
directions.. and thats in english. Okay, just kidding again. not about being
delayed, but about being by myself. There was an elder in my district that
didnt get his as well. 2 did, 2 didnt. Kind of sad that my whole district is
leaving me. But hey I guess the Lord just knew that I needed some serious
spanish help. Not to mention that I prayed for this. The license people told
me it would be 3-4 weeks before I got my license. Well, at that point I
didnt have that long.. moral of the story, be careful what you pray for :) I
will let Meagan know when I know anything. As of right now they are guessing
two weeks. They put my name in for a temp reassignment, but then got word
that it is processing. Since Argentina lost in the world cup, hopefully they
will get going on my visa! Although it would be cool to go state side for a
coupld of weeks so I could get the best of both worlds! I found out after I
packed most of my stuff. haha lame!
Speaking of Meagan, I taught her a lesson in spanish yesterday. She was a
pretend investigator to the guy that we have always taught. Oh man my
spanish is horrible! Uh, I have stuff to send home... but I'm REALLY hoping
that Meagan can take it for me. There are strict rules about bringing stuff
in.. not sure about taking stuff out I think she was going to ask for me. It
would me much easier! Mom, Im really trying to get rid of stuff
because its $150 on international flights. Are you sure that I need the bug
net, taco packets, and rain coat? It would be cheaper to buy that stuff
there than pay the $150... oh, and my boots... I was just thinking about
that. They are heavy, and i dont know if I could do without them? Another
girl would like a backpack if you would please stop by sister missionary
mall again, please? If not its fine, I just need to know. So i think i could
possibly do with some more tights? I dont kno if i can buy them there? Will
you please look and see what the weather has been like in Resistencia.
Dad, Chelsee Voorhees emailed me and said she was getting married. She wants
your address for an invite.. but i cant email her back. Her email is
ccvoorhees@gmail.com
One of my camera cards should still be at the house.. I left it in the
computer the day I left. Please, please send a pic with the whole fam in it.
Well, sorry this letter has been about all the things I need. This last week
has been great. I dont know what else to say than that. The spirit is just
so strong! I love it! We watched the Legacy on Sunday. I hadnt seen that
movie for forever! It's so unreal to try and understand what the pioneers
did for us. I wonder if they realized what they would be doing for future
generations.. or if they were really just thinking about their family.
Either way, wow! Thanks mom and dad for making the decisions you did so that
we could be where we are. Im so thankful that I was raised in this church! I
dont know where I would be without the knowledge I do have. I am so thankful
to be able to share my testimony with others, and invite them unto Chirst.
How was Lake Powell?? I hope that yall were all nice so that we can be
invited back in about 2 years :)
Grandma and Grandpa Thank you soo much for your letters. I really appreciate
them! Sounds like you have a big job as the temp relief society president.
You will be great :)
Rachel, I sent your letter a few weeks ago. I sent it to the address where
the cookies came from. I hope you got it by now??
Okkay fam, thats all I have time for. Im really sorry this letter was so
boring!
Love yall lots!
Love Hna Payne

directions.. and thats in english.

Hola! It's me again, Hna Payne!!!!
Guess what!? I was just in the OUTSIDE WORLD! CRAZY! I went and talked to the people about my license and asked what I needed to do to get another one. They sent us right then to the outside world! Mom, I drove right past your work. I waved and told you I loved you! :) They are sending you another one. PRAY that is comes in a week. they said it takes like 3! but take it out of the lettter and then send it to me. I felt like a dog in the van.. i just wanted to stick my head out the window and let my tongue hang out of my mouth. I must be a missionary if I am calling Provo the outside world! haha :) But it was an experience to write home about. It was kind of scary, not gonna lie. It was kind of hard having to talk to people. A lot talked to us, a lot just kind of hardly said hi. Oh well, it was nice though because we know how people will be at the airport. it was training :) I was also taught not to judge people by the way they look. One guy was going in with his 2 older kids in the 20's that were kind of scary lookin. He stopped to talk to us about being the ward mission leader and about the sisters in his ward. Then there were some motorcycle lookin guys that weren't pleasant to the eye, but they were sooooo nice. they were both bringing their kids and grandkids on errands. So all in all great experience!
The mission president week was cool. not near as cool as I would have thought. They were all in the main building and we weren't able to go in to that building. No, I didn't get to sit by the Prophet, he wasnt in any of our meetings. I didnt even get to see him :( I did however get to shake Elder Christofferson's hand. Cool. We did have an amazing devo by Elder Oaks tho. I think he is my new favorite Apostle! At least most of the talks that I have read as of late have been by him. "The challenge to become!" AMAZING! Something abuot repentance and faith.. Ah all are sooo good! If anyone wants to send me their favorite talks, that would be great. Send me your knowledge! Let me know your spiritual experiences :)
We have really been focusing on the atonement these last few days. Sooo good. I mean i knew this before, but there is SOOOOO much to the atonement. Let me just say that being here in the MTC, and being in a trio forces me to be in check.. forces me to be constantly changing myself. its sooo hard, but soo good. As if you didnt know this before, I have sooo much to change. Its sometimes a little discouraging to think of everything. But I love love love it here. We read in a zone meeting John 15:1-16. THis is what being a missionary is all about! It talks a lot about the word "abide" That isnt a word that is used a lot in our society! But it means to remain permanantly, to come, and to stay! That is what I am going to be asking others to do. The goal is to have then abide with the Savior. We are also told that bringing forth the fruit means that we will be going through trials! Not easy, but that is what makes us grow the most! The question was asked, "How did Christ lay down his life?" I hadn't really thougth about it before. But I realized that it was in EVERYTHING that He did. In every thought, word, action, He was doing it for us.In every second of everyday! Holy cow! What a realization for me. He is the perfect example. I know it is through the process of the gospel that we can become who He wants us to be. Coming unto Christ IS becoming who He does want us to be. This requires me submitting my will to Him. Again, this isnt easy. But im trying to listen to the promptings of the Spirit and act on them. This gospel requires action. It requires us to be humble and to repent, and strive to become better. (read that talk by elder oaks) Repentance is a change of mind, a frest view about God, oneself, and about the world. How can and will our views change?
Well I should get my flight plans tomorrow or Friday! I cant wait!
Sorry time is up again... it goes soooo fast! I hope all is well with all of yall. I love yall soooooo much. thank you for all that you do for me.

Hola! Its me again, Hermana Payne!!! Anyways...... my enter button doesnt work so Im not sure how all of this will turn out.... all run together I guess.. First things first... eh I never know where to start.. so today i guess.. as you know the Provo temple is closed, so we will not be attending the temple for the last few weeks.... sad day.. today tho our service assignment is to clean the temple.. we will be going at like 12 and cleaning it for 3..5 hours (sorry my period button is adding more than one to every sentence, the laundry comps are ghetto!) So that will tak e a lot of time, so I probably will not have time to write letters.. so if anyone is expecting one from me, sorry.... I dont know that its going to happen this week.. So Today is the start of the new mission presidents coming in! It should be a bomb week! There are going to be sooo many GAs here, and not to mention the prophet.. yes I wll be sitting next to him on the stand on Sunday.... yup i have faith.. that was what our last couple of big meetings have been about.. so yes im upping my faith.. It willllll happen! Well I will at least be the closest to him that I have ever been before.. COOL! So guess what, I spoke in sacrament meeting this last sunday.. yup, in spanish.. It was quite a good talk.. you guessed it, short, sweet, and to the point.. it was about agency and obedience.. everyone is supposed to prepare a talk and then they pick randomly.. I was the lucky girl that got the opportunity.... Dad I saw Meagan the other day! I always call her the Miss Meagan.... I dont know her last name.. Christianson?? We will just say that she is great for telling you exactly what you want to hear :) She seems really nice.. too bad she will be leaving you and getting married! Mom, so the stinky feet were because of the brown skechers.... eh i havent worn them in more than a week.. I do LOVE my new black ones.. Could I possibly get them in brown? How expensive were they? I will try on the Jody dress this week.. Can you pretty please run my sister missionary mall and get a backpack just like mine? A girl here needs one.. She has cash to give me.. Let me know please :) Question.. what about teeth whitening???? Could you send my crest strips? I just know by the end that my teeth will not be as white! Small problem.. I can't find my drivers license.. I think it fell out of my wallet.. please pray that I will find it.. if not how do I/you go about getting a replacement?? Drew, you gave me that camera card.... remember?? Anyways will you please send me the one that I left at home, in the computer?? So now guess what.... are you ready for this?? I get my travel plans NEXT week! Please scream with me now AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, I feel a little better now! Ah Im not goin! I dont have any spanish skills! But at the same time I am sooo excited! The whole language barrier is the thing that scares me! Speaking of we taught our first lesson in spanish last weeek.. eh! All I can say is that the Lord called me to a language so that I would rely on Him.. I hate to say that a mission would be a piece of cake in english.... because i know that its not but at this point i cant help but think that.. no worries tho! I will get this.... it just might take a while, and a few more, okay a LOT more prayers! Hey like I said, FAITH! Uh, I wont get my travel plans till probably next thursday, so you will be waiting a while, but I just think that is sooooo weird.. I just got here.. 6 weeks has gone by sooo fast.. all the time here has blurred together but when I think about the fam or my friends or anything on the outside, that feels like forever that I have seen yall! Weird.... if that makes sense? So Lake Powellllll????? Jealous, but not.. of course you would wait until I left to do that and to go to Karan's! I still havent heard from her, p..s..! Thats cool tho.. Kelsie said she was trying to get time off to go.. I cant believe B will be 1 when she comes to stay will yall.. sooo weird.. time has flown! We got to hear a talk by Elder Holland the other day.. I LOVE him! His talk was amazing.. He talked about missions being FOREVER.. All I have to say is that when he talks, you listen! He is very passionate about the things he talks about.. Well two of our sisters in our room just flew our to their mission.. that is weird.. they are out knocking doors right now! My comps are great.. We have our moments.. i guess you can say its humbling to be in a companionship.... you have to look at yourself being the one that needs to change.... eh I dont really like that idea so much, but hey! It's all a learning process that is making me into who Im supposed to be, in who I want to be! Life is oh soo goood.. I love it here.. I love yall soo much.. thanks for all yall do! Keep me updated on everything :)
Love, Hna Payne :)

Hola! It's me again, Hermana Payne!
How goes it on the home front?? I got your package, thank you!!! As for the feet thing.. I think its just a common girl thing that their feet are sick! It's because of the hose, and no socks... But my brown shoes are the worst! I hate them! So I will let you know how it goes this week :) I will be sending some pictures of our nightly rituals when it comes to shoes :) What are the pics for? Just to give to my comps? I still need family pictures :)
Dad, HAPPY FATHER'S Day and Birthday.. again! Did you like your present that I picked out?
So let's see.. a typical day at the MTC is LONG! But fast at the same time. Breakfast is always at 8:15, lunch at 1 and dinner at 6! Wake up, gym (some days its at other times) breakfast, class, lunch, more class, meetings, teaching appointments, dinner, devotionals.. Okay well all of that is just a mixture of all the days.. But they are all basically the same, with a little different order. There is NEVER enough time in the day to get everything that you need to accomplished! You go to bed wishing there was more time! We teach our first lesson in spanish this week! It's a good thing Hna Jones understands everything! HAHA I will just smile and bear my testimony! We have a couple of progressive invest. that we teach a couple times a week. One is Gabriel. He is a lot of fun to teach! His family means the world to him.. which makes it super easy to relate the gospel to him.. We just take everthing back to how the gospel can help his fam. He is hard at the same time tho.. he gets really distracted easy, and he askes lots of questions. I'm always afraid for what the next question will be.. but at the same time the questions are really helping me to prepare of the field. In our lesson he actually cried! Holy cow! We asked him what he would ask Heavenly Father if he could pray. He wanted to know that He was there, and that he cared for his family. We all need that understanding in life, that our Heavenly Father cares, and loves us! I can't imagine going through life and not having that knowledge!
So I am here at just the right time! All the new mission presidents come in at the end of this month for like a week or two. So there will be some major "Big Boys" here.. not to mention most likely the Prophet. I might even get to sit on the same stand as him! HAHA well Hna Jones is the coordinating sister in our zone and so she was asked to speak at the meeting on Sunday... which means I will have to sit on the stand with her... So I'm hoping I get to sit next to President Monson.. It's perfect! Hna Jones speaks, and I sit there.. Well, it's my claim to fame anyways! I will let you know who I see!
Dad, you said something about this Meagan girl.. The girl in your ward right? HAHA well again, I have only seen her like once.. So I dont know how she could mention any kind of countenance.. Dont worry tho.. the spanish will come! How is the ward? Are you loving it being in there with Ken? Are you getting to know any of the kids really well? So you saw Rach again? Ya she Nicki, and Kim sent me some cookies! I wrote Rachel back last week but haven't sent it beacuse I lost the address.. oops! I did find Derek and Joey, and we got our pictures! I will send them soon! Drew.. im sending the camera card to kels.. im going to have her delete all of your pics.. they are saved right? P.s. Im waiting on a letter from you! You should send me a dearelder today (and anyone else that wants).. I keep hearing things from other people about you and Sarah.. I need details from you!! Please, and thank you!
Anything else that is going on this week? What did yall do for dads bday? What do yall have planned for father's day?? My roommate sisters are leaving on Monday! Sooo weird. They are going to Washington D.C. and will be in the visitors center 3 days a week. They got the best of both worlds! Wow I cant believe that I have been here for 5 weeks now! Still so nice not to be the new girl on the block! I'm still loving the MTC. Life here is great! Soo much to learn! But I cant wait to get out in the field either! Except for that whole having/getting to speak in spanish! I dont know how much im going to be able to accomplish if I cant speak their language! Oh well.. I will get it! Sometimes it still doesnt feel real that I am here and a part of this great work! How amazing it all is. The more I learn the more I realize how much I dont know about the gospel. Not that I EVER claimed to know anything.. but still I dont know anything even about the basics of the gospel! Ah, I love it tho! It's so nice to have progressing invest. so that we are practicing towards meeting people's needs!
Okay well that is all I have time for! I love yall and miss yall!
P.s. mom see if you can get another box of contacts for each eye if you can. If not. I think i can make it work!

HOLA!!!!
It's me again, Hermana Payne! Can you believe I have said that four weeks in a row now!??????? Holy cow! First of all I have to say, I mean sing is.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRHTDAY DEAR KELSIE AND DAAAAHHDD. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! I hope ya'll both have a great week. Let me know what ya'll do! Dad, your gift is awesome. Just so you know.. the idea was mine. Okay, lie, but we will pretend! Dad, also.. Happy Father's Day! I love you, and you are the bestest Dad in the whole wide world. Thanks for all you do!
Sorry, I dont kno that i have a lot to say today.. But mom, this paragraph is dedicated to you. About the shoes... sure go ahead and send them and I will decide. I'm guessing they werent too expensive? About the black ones, I think im going to keep them. Im wearing them around on carpet as we speak to decide. I will send you a note today tho and le you know for sure. Guess what.. I have had a change of heart. I want a Jody dress. So if you find one please send it to me. I decided it is a right of passage! I would never wear it in the states, but Argentina is great. There is a place here that I can purchase one... let me know! And thanks for my package. It was great. I especially LOVED the smores mix. I had forgotten about that stuff. I havent been very nice to share my smores.. in this case i cant get some more..
You have talked about the Spoken Word. We get to watch it on Sundays! Well, every Sunday except fast sundays because we have a missionary con. thing. Mom, I think of you every week that I watch it and know that you are watching it too.. at the same time :) So Fast Sundays are brutal! haha I still havent caught the fire on this one. Don't worry, it will come though! It's just a long day! But yet still a great one. I LOVE Sundays! It is the day that reminds me why I'm here and that I can do another week. As of right now you probably won't hear about the times that I struggle.. because Pday just starts off being great I dont have anything to say about the bad stuff. If that makes sense? No worries though, this whole mission thing is hard and I do struggle. Its all an emotional rollercoaster, and one hour is great, and the next completely discouraging. And hey, I am just in the MTC! But yet I am loving it, and learning sooo much! There are soo many tender mercies from the Lord. I love the scriptures!! The scriptures are a great place to find answers to prayers. Sometimes its not even an answer to a direct question, but once you read it, you realize it's exactly what you needed to hear. I love that. In a devotional we learned that the scriptures is the language of the Spirit. Go figure.. of course it is!
So the MTC is hopping now! There are tons more missionaries now that school is out. I think there are like 80 missionaries that cant get their visas.. that have been here for like 14 weeks now and they are finally shipping them off to Utah areas beacase there is just no more room in the Inn. Crazy! The lines for showers and stuff are longer now because there are more sisters. I have found quite a few people that I know. I am determined to get a pic with Elder Hermanson and Elder Haws and send it to you for the ward. I think that is kind of against the rules. I think we are both supposed to have our comps in the pic. but there is 2:1 ratio.. so im not too worried. I will get my picture! I have also run into a couple of Elders that knew me from EFY. One of them was one of my boys from a couple of years ago, and the other one hung out with my group quite a bit.. weird. One of the sisters here was one of my co's. So that has been fun. Then some elder asked me yesterday if I went to Lehi.. he graduated a year after me but i had no idea who he was.. oops! We are getting more people today so maybe I will find some others that I know! I love runnning into people that i know!
So you went boating? That's great! Mom, you have to get in next time! Did you get a new swimsuit??? I heard Dirty tried sneakin in a fishin pole. HAHA I can only imagine the looks and words he got! Good for you! :) Did yall cook hamburgers out there?
Well let me know whats going on with ya'll. How is the ward?
And Drew, sorry but i know you arent engaged! Nice try. Just know, I have heard that you are getting more serious with this girl.. (i hear froom everyone) but i know that mom and dad would kill you if you were engaged at this point! Holy cow, get to know the girl :) and you have a long time to get to know her.. like 17 more months :) There will be no forgiveness in this life or the next if you get married while im gone :) just an fyi!
Okay well again, time is up! I love and miss you all. You are all in my prayers!!
Love Heremana Payne
P.s. I would like a jump rope please!!
